Sacred Smiles...

Like some crops in fields which missed the harvest,

Like a diamond ring which slid down d drain,

Like a handwritten note washed in d rain

Like a timeless melody never recorded,

My Life is a prose which was never narrated.

I stand at this bridge with a pick and guitar,

Waiting for the moon and the evening stars,

Promising a song at the dawn of night.

To the ripples which goes along the riverside.

And for sure every day the sun sets down,

Makes me hunt for a fresh new reason,

To betray the ripples and myself.

And justify the silence and the treason.

Its so easy to make a note,

To decorate it with some radiant words,

Except when u have to speak the truth,

No fancy, no flight, but ur own good life

U have not an audience but a life to loose,

Still I manage to find a smile,

And paste it over a restless face.

God u know this is all so tough

Hold those drops forever still

Before they wash the smile away.

CAT 09 - Experiences

Well I have nt been a soldier in any of the World Wars, but i feel like being one today.
Why ? Because am a part of some 2 Lakh strong Fauz of CAT aspirants ! With each one of us alloted one specific date at some specific front at some part of the country..

The NEWS (or rumours) of servers crashing down accross the country sends shivers down the spine and makes me feel enemy planes hovering over the heads and bombing randomly.. We can just hope that our Bunker(the desitined Computer terminals) does not meet an unfortunate fate.

As if this was not over, the soldiers who have already seen action, have been debarred from sharing their information and valuable inputs regarding number of enemies, their difficulty level, their origin and so on. And the rest of us, who have not yet gone to fight, share an unknown fear of being watched by some IIM SECRET SERVICES, threatining us of coutmartial or even imprisionment.

Still, the brave aspirants, share amongst themselves, the valuable and much wanted Experiences.

In a Nut shell...

1) Dont trust your arsenols blindly, it may malfunction. Clicking a seemingly harmless Review button may prove fatal and end ur test once for all.
2) Keep good amount of dry fruits .. u may have to stay in the trenches for as long as 7 hours.
3)If the PC shuts down suddenly, dont panic. Solve the active question in mind. YOu are actually getting some more valuable minutes.
4)Be prepared for a talkitive staff. Even if they distract and disturb you, your actual enemy still remains the Question paper. You have counted bullets. (minutes)
5) Negative marking exists, even if it isnt mentioned in the Question paper specifically.
And the Last..
6) Remember what Gita Says,
" Your right is to fight the exam only, not to be obsessed with a perfect Scorecard.

Hindi Poem

Burden or Legacy: Reviving Past

Its the peak of summers. I feel as the head is slit into two halves and Maggie being boiled inside. The burning road threatens to melt my feet, my own eyes pump flames into my face and the heat waves push me back , stronger and harder. And am forced to do some tasks i have loathed for a decade or even longer.

The scorching sun illuminates the shades of luxury and sitting in the backyard cant be afforded any more, at least for the next many days or may be even months.

Because its the question of survival today.

History not only repeats itself but makes you pay for every inch of grass which was left unmaintained. Present, when becomes past, has strong though invisible nexus connections
with future, enough to take you hostage.
